Lippo Orange County
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Program: Mixed-Use Development
Year: 2023
Team: John Jiang
The Lippo Orange County development in Jakarta represents a bold vision for urban living in Indonesia's capital. This mixed-use complex integrates residential, office, and retail spaces into a dynamic urban environment that responds to the city's evolving needs. The design draws inspiration from the vibrant energy of Jakarta while incorporating sustainable strategies and innovative architectural solutions.
The project's distinctive form features a series of interconnected towers that create a striking silhouette on the city skyline. The facade system employs advanced environmental screening elements that respond to Jakarta's tropical climate, reducing solar gain while maximizing natural ventilation. Public spaces and sky gardens are strategically integrated throughout the development, providing green respite areas that enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors.
At the ground level, a vibrant retail podium creates an active street presence, while upper levels house premium office spaces and luxury residences with panoramic city views. The development incorporates smart building technologies and sustainable features, including rainwater harvesting, energy-efficient systems, and vertical greenery. This project sets new standards for mixed-use developments in Southeast Asia, demonstrating how high-density urban architecture can create comfortable, sustainable, and engaging environments for city dwellers.
